The Keeling Family is grateful to be serving here and are excited for the future as together we seek to reach Dyer County with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Jon Keeling was born in 1977 to a missionary family while they were on the road raising support to go to Alaska. He and his parents went to serve in Alaska and spent a total of 18 years starting churches, youth camps, and preaching in remote villages. They also spent 18 months in the islands of Trinidad and Tobago where his dad assisted a struggling church until he became ill and had to leave the islands.
At the age of five, Pastor Jon accepted Christ as His Savior. Some might question whether a child of that age could really understand, but every time Satan has tried to tempt him with doubting his salvation, God takes him back to that time as a young boy when he accepted Him as Lord and Saviour.
He married his wife, Jodi, in August 2005. The Lord has given them two precious children, Jon Caden and Isabella.
In March 2006, Pastor Jon surrendered to the call to preach. Two years later, the Lord led the Keelings to start Shunem Ministries, a construction based ministry where they helped build and remodel churches, as well as missionaries' and pastors’ homes. Since the call to preach, the Lord had always given him a desire to one day Pastor. He knew in the Lord’s timing, He would reveal the direction He would have him to go.
In 2017, while on a building project in Lenox, Tennessee, the Lord confirmed to the Keelings that He would have them transition from missions to the pastorate at Antioch Baptist in Wynne, AR where they served for over nine years.
In April 2026, the Lord then directed the Keelings back to Lenox Baptist Church, the same building project where Pastor Jon originally felt burdened to pastor. The Keeling Family is grateful to be serving here and are excited for the future as together we seek to reach Dyer County with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
